There are several Traffic Exchanges that have popped up recently, (and some not so recently), that offer some incredible deals on lifetime memberships to their traffic exchanges. Songman Hits will never jump on that bandwagon because it cheapens your membership value. Let me tell you why:
1) People tend to buy the memberships, set up their websites, and leave. You hardly see them unless they run out of credits. If there are too many "lifetimers", no one surfs and their credits just sit there, and the traffic exchange becomes stagnant. There are several traffic exchanges that I have been a member of for a few years with decent memberships, but my sites are not being seen because no one surfs. Why? They handed out too many lifetime Gold or Platinum memberships when they launched.
2) How long is the TE going to be running? I am a member of a TE that changed ownership, and I really don't like the way the new owner is doing things. The membership is now useless to me. I am GLAD I didn't sign on with the lifetime membership.
3) In my opinion, CHEAP lifetime memberships are window dressing to build membership fast, and to make fast cash for the owner. They are great for getting huge payouts on referrals, but, does it REALLY help you with advertising your products? They really serve no other purpose.
I would prefer to build a solid foundation with a loyal following that build residual income through memberships, not a "let's get cash quick" type of deal. Sure, I could sell a lifetime membership for $7.95 to $50 and probably build my membership quickly and buy that Jeep Rubicon I want, but what happens after that? Take a look at Traffic Exchange List and see how many of the top ten traffic exchanges in the world offer lifetime memberships……….

There are a few traffic exchanges that I purchased last year at a low price, and they are gone. One was Traffic Colony which I had commissions and I lost it all.
